“Guardians”

Three cowboys stand shoulder to shoulder in thin lines of gold. There's no horizon and no setting, just the figures and their hats against a dark ground, close together and facing out.

The gold is laid down in short, broken strokes that pick up the light differently along each figure. It's a simple piece that rewards a second look.

Signed original. 10x14 in, gold acrylic on cold pressed paper.
