“This land made me”

A figure made of long sap green strokes, with hair falling straight down the page. On either side, low hills and a pair of pines pull the figure into the landscape, so it's hard to tell where the person ends and the land begins.

The green moves from deep to light within a single stroke, and the white of the watercolor paper shows through the gaps. It's a soft, clear piece that suits a bright room.

Signed original. 11x15 in, sap green acrylic on watercolor paper.
