“Take flight”

A bird lifting off, wings spread wide, drawn in sweeping strokes of black oil pastel.

The wings are quick and open while the body is heavier and darker, so the eye goes straight to the center and then out along the feathers.

Signed original. 9x12 in, oil pastel on Bristol board.
