“No bucks given”

A bull and rider caught at the top of the buck, drawn in black oil pastel on white. The bull's back legs kick out while the rider throws one arm high, and the whole thing is built from a handful of fast, heavy strokes.

The pastel goes from dense black to a soft smudge within a single mark, and the white of the bristol board does the rest. It's all motion and not much else.

Signed original, one of one. 11x17 in, oil pastel on bristol board. Sold unframed.
