“Distant relative”

A cowboy portrait in black oil pastel, the wide brim of the hat sweeping across the top of the page.

The face sits in shadow under the brim, drawn with a few heavy lines and softer rubbed tone.

Signed original. 11x14 in, oil pastel on Bristol board.
